Google Ads Agency on the Gold Coast, Built Around Booked Jobs
Bluepeek is a Google Ads agency based in Molendinar on the Gold Coast. We build search campaigns, the landing pages they point to and the tracking that shows which clicks turn into calls, forms and paying work. Your first month of management is $199, then $299 a month after that. Ad spend is separate.
What does a Google Ads agency do?
A Google Ads agency plans, builds and manages paid search campaigns for a business. That covers keyword research, account structure, ad copy, bidding, negative keywords, landing pages and conversion tracking, then ongoing optimisation. A good agency measures success in calls, forms and booked jobs at an acceptable cost per lead, not in clicks or impressions.
Why work with a local Google Ads agency on the Gold Coast
A Google Ads account does not care where its manager sits. What matters is whether the person building it understands how your customers search. The Gold Coast is a long, narrow city, and a customer in Coomera is unlikely to drive to Coolangatta for a service they can get closer to home. That shapes every targeting decision.
When you work with Bluepeek you deal with the two founders, Jac Thomas-Rees and Zach Colville, not an account manager relaying messages. We build and manage the work ourselves and nothing is outsourced. If you want to talk through a campaign in person, we are in Molendinar, a short drive from most of the coast.
We also build websites for Gold Coast businesses in Nerang, Arundel and Molendinar, so we see what happens after the click as well as before it. That matters, because most wasted ad spend is lost on the page, not in the auction.
How Gold Coast customers actually search
Local service searches tend to be short and urgent: "mechanic near me", "tiler Robina", "ceramic coating Gold Coast". Google reads the searcher's location and intent, so a campaign has to decide who it wants to show up for and who it does not.
- Radius and location targeting. A mobile detailer might cover the whole coast from Coolangatta to Coomera, while a workshop in Nerang may only want customers within a sensible drive. We set targeting to match where you will genuinely travel or where customers will come to you.
- "Near me" searches. These rely heavily on location signals, so accurate location assets and a consistent Google Business Profile help your ads and your map listing work together.
- Suburb-level intent. Someone searching "Burleigh Heads electrician" wants someone close by. Where the data supports it, we can split ad groups or adjust bids by area, rather than paying the same for every click on the coast.
- Ad scheduling. If you cannot answer the phone after 5pm, there is little point paying for call ads at 9pm. Scheduling can follow your real working hours, and can lean into the times your enquiries tend to arrive once there is enough data to see a pattern.
From Google search to booked job: the full funnel
A campaign is only as strong as its weakest step. We build and check every stage, so you can see where leads come from and where they drop off.
- Google search
A customer types a service and location into Google. We research which of those searches carry buying intent for your business and exclude the ones that do not.
- Targeted ad
Ad groups are organised by service and location, with responsive search ads plus call, location and sitelink assets so the ad matches what was searched.
- Conversion-focused landing page
The click lands on a page about that specific service, with a clear phone number, a short form and proof of your work. See how we build lead capture websites.
- Lead
The visitor calls or submits a form. Each one is recorded as a conversion so Google's bidding learns what a good lead looks like.
- Call or form follow-up
Form leads notify you instantly. If you miss calls on the tools, missed-call recovery texts the caller back so the lead is not lost.
- Booked job
The lead becomes paying work. This is the number that matters most, so we ask you to tell us which leads actually booked.
- Tracking
Call and form conversion tracking ties spend to enquiries, so you can see cost per lead by campaign, service and area.
- Optimisation
We review search terms, add negative keywords, adjust bids and budgets, and test ads and landing pages based on what the data shows.
Who Google Ads on the Gold Coast suits
Google Ads works best when people already search for what you sell and a single job is worth enough to cover the cost of winning it. That describes most local service businesses.
- Mechanics and auto electricians, where searches are often urgent and local
- Car detailers, ceramic coating studios and vehicle wrapping businesses with high-value jobs
- Tilers, landscapers and other tradies who quote on specific jobs
- Health and wellness clinics, massage and spa businesses
- Other local services such as cleaners, pest control and removalists
If people do not yet search for your product, Google Ads is usually the wrong first step. Demand creation through Meta Ads may suit you better.
How much should a Gold Coast business spend on Google Ads?
There is no honest single number. Click costs vary by industry, suburb and competition, and they change over time. Instead of quoting a benchmark, we work through a simple framework with you.
- Know what a job is worth
Start with the average profit from a job, and whether customers return. A high-value job such as a ceramic coating can support a far higher cost per lead than a quick, low-priced service.
- Estimate a target cost per lead
Work out how many leads it takes to win one job, then what you can afford to pay per lead and still make money.
- Check capacity
Only buy the leads you can handle. There is no point doubling spend if your calendar is already full for three weeks.
- Test, then scale
Run a test budget long enough to collect real conversion data, then increase spend on the services and areas that produce booked work.

How we measure Google Ads performance
Clicks and impressions are easy to grow and easy to misread. We report on the numbers that link to revenue.
| What we track | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Phone calls from ads and the landing page | For most tradies and local services, the call is the lead |
| Form submissions | Captures customers who prefer to write in, often after hours |
| Booked jobs (from your feedback) | Separates genuine enquiries from tyre-kickers |
| Cost per lead | Shows what each enquiry costs, by service and area |
| Search terms | Reveals wasted spend so it can be cut with negative keywords |
What we won't promise
No agency controls Google's auction, your competitors' budgets or how customers behave. So we will not guarantee a number of leads, a cost per click or a position on the page, and we do not claim to be a Google Partner.
What we will do is build the campaign properly, show you exactly where the money goes, agree our fee and account ownership in writing before anything starts. If Google Ads is not the right fit for your business, we will tell you, and point you to options like local SEO instead.
Enquire About Your $199 First Month
Tell us about your business and current account (if you have one). A founder will walk you through the $199 first month, the $299 monthly management fee after that and your ad spend before you sign up.
Frequently asked questions
Do you only work with Gold Coast businesses?
No. We are based in Molendinar and the Gold Coast is our home market, but we build campaigns and websites for businesses across Australia, including a lot of work in Perth. For businesses outside the Gold Coast, see our page on Google Ads management in Australia.
How long before Google Ads produces leads?
Ads can show as soon as the campaign is approved, so some enquiries can arrive within days. Reliable optimisation takes longer, because bidding and decisions need enough conversion data. Plan on a few weeks of learning before judging a campaign, and longer for low-volume services.
Can you target specific suburbs on the Gold Coast?
Yes. Google Ads lets you target by radius, postcode or suburb, and exclude areas you do not service. We can also adjust bids by location if some areas produce better work than others, once there is enough data to support that decision.
Do I need a new website to run Google Ads?
Not always. If your current site loads fast on mobile and has a clear page for each service, we can often use it. If it does not, a dedicated landing page usually does more for results than any bid change. We can build one as part of the campaign.
Who owns the Google Ads account?
Account ownership is agreed in writing before we start. Our recommendation is that the Google Ads account belongs to your business, with Bluepeek given manager access, because the campaign history and conversion data are what Google's bidding learns from. Be cautious of any arrangement where you cannot see or take your own account
What is included in the free Google Ads audit?
We review your account structure, keywords, search terms, conversion tracking and landing pages, then tell you plainly what is working, what is wasting money and what we would change. If you have no account yet, we look at your market and website instead.
