Some customers search “butcher near me”. Many more search what they want: Wagyu in Perth, A5 Wagyu, the best cut for slow cooking, how to cook a steak. A butcher that answers those searches is in front of buyers before they have chosen where to shop.

Bo Butcher also serves Vietnamese specialty meats, which is a search with very few good local answers and a loyal customer base.

What Google showed on 14 October 2026

There was no map pack for “butcher Girrawheen”. The organic results were bobutcher.com.au first, then Yelp and Yellow Pages pages, the business’s older Square site and a seafood and butcher shop. Having an old site still ranking is common after a rebuild; over time the new site should replace it.

What we built into the site

• Product pages with Perth in the address: Wagyu beef, Angus beef and pork.
• An order page for online ordering and store pickup, and visible prices, which answers the first question many buyers have.
• Meat guides on what A5 Wagyu is, steak cuts explained, cooking the perfect steak, Wagyu versus Angus, the best barbecue meats for summer, storing fresh meat and cuts for slow cooking.
• Structured data with the Marangaroo Drive address, opening hours and Perth as the area served.

Results so far

6 enquiries came through the website’s forms between 27 June and 14 October 2026. Online orders and phone calls are counted separately and are not included.

What moves the needle next

• Retire or redirect the old Square site, so all of the shop’s search strength points at one place.
• A Google Business Profile with products and photos, so the shop appears in a map pack for nearby butcher searches.
