D Wright Painting: covering Perth’s northern suburbs one suburb page at a time

How people find a painter

Painting is a planned job. Homeowners search their suburb or the nearest centre, get two or three quotes, and look hard at photos and reviews. Landlords and strata managers search differently, for rental repaints, end-of-lease painting and strata work, and they hire repeatedly.

In the northern suburbs, that means a painter needs to show up for Joondalup and for the coastal and inland suburbs around it, from Ocean Reef and Mullaloo to Craigie and Beldon.

What Google showed on 14 October 2026

The map pack for “painter Joondalup” showed a decorator from Wanneroo with 27 reviews, a Joondalup painter with 16 reviews and a Beldon painter with 51 reviews and more than ten years in business. The organic results included a Joondalup painting business, Yellow Pages, another decorator, Jim’s Painting and hipages. Directories and franchises take a share of page one, as they do for most trade searches.

What we built into the site

• Thirteen service pages: interior, exterior, commercial, residential repaints, roof, fence, feature walls, rental property, strata, weatherboard restoration, ceilings and end-of-lease painting.
• Suburb pages across the north: Heathridge, Joondalup, Ocean Reef, Mullaloo, Craigie, Beldon, Edgewater, Currambine, Burns Beach, Iluka, Hillarys and more, matching the areas in the structured data.
• A gallery and a recent transformation section, because a painter is judged on finished work.
• Experience in the title and heading: “Perth’s trusted painters for over 30 years.”

Results so far

11 enquiries came through the website’s forms between 29 July and 14 October 2026, not counting phone calls.

What moves the needle next

• Real jobs on the suburb pages. A repaint in Mullaloo shown on the Mullaloo page is the strongest content a painter can publish.
• Reviews, steadily. The pack leaders have 16 to 51 reviews, which is reachable with a request after each job. See our Google review system.
• Landlord and strata work has repeat value; promoting those pages to property managers is a separate opportunity.
